BARRINGTON G. RAYMOND

Barry was born in Jamaica and relocated to England at an early age. He started playing the piano at home from age seven watching his mother who was as also a piano player and a singer. While at school in England he played in the school band until he got his first paying gig at age 16. Since then he has been entertaining.

He performed in Wolverhampton and Birmingham while living in England. He returned to Jamaica where he performed at several hotels over the years. Upon relocating to Florida he entertained at the Newport Beach Hotel in Miami Beach for 14 years. He also performed on cruise ships sailing from South Florida to the Bahamas. His endeavors included promotions for Publix and Macy’s in South Florida. He also traveled to Senden, Germany for a Caribbean show that included himself, a dancer and another musician.

Barry relocated to Central Florida five years ago, and he has been busy promoting himself. He entertained at the opening of the new library in Groveland in 2003 and the Millennia Mall in Orlando. He worked at Santiago’s in the Villages and private parties in Lady Lake and Winter Park areas. He spent six months on the Norwegian Dawn in a band providing Caribbean entertainment; he has worked at the Happimag Hotel & Timeshare, the Benchwarmers Restaurant in Clermont, and Orange Lake Resort where he spent the past four years.
